‘Ant-Man’ Trailer Reveals 5 Possible Plot Details, Scott Lang Scenes—Report

Marvel has finally released the teaser preview for "Ant-Man" lead by actors Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas. The studio initially released an ant-sized video but later on shared the full-size version of the sneak peak, which gives viewers a look at five possible plot scenarios that could happen in the movie.

According to Cinemablend, the video opens with Paul Rudd (Scott Lang) being arrested. As previously reported by the International Business Times, the actor's character starts off in the movie as an ex-con and a thief. Being a single dad leaves him with financial woes, which made him resort to stealing. As per the IBTimes, at one point he breaks into Dr. Hank Pym's (Michael Douglas) apartment and steals the Ant-Man suit. If the movie follows the original comic book source, then Cinemablend claims Lang resorted to becoming a small-time criminal to pay for his daughter's medical bills. The first scene from the teaser shows Lang being escorted by what looks like cops, based on their uniforms. According to Cinemablend, "Ant-Man" needs to set up Paul Rudd first as a thief doing his time in jail before becoming a "small" hero. The footage at the 0:09 time mark also sees Lang engaged in a prison fight.

The teaser also gave viewers a quick glimpse at what seems to be Dr. Pym's laboratory. According to Cinemablend, this scene could include Pym talking to Scott Lang about the Ant-Man suit. Likewise, the scene could reportedly also feature Hank talking to Scott about his feud with Darren Cross, who, according to IBTimes, is the head of Cross Technological Enterprises, the company competing against Stark Industries and Oscorp. It could supposedly also include the scene where Pym is talking to Lang (who is now Ant-Man), as the latter struggles to escape a grid-like room. According to the IBTimes, this footage was revealed during the July 26 San Diego Comic-con.

The teaser reportedly also gives viewers a look at the main villain in the movie. As per Cinemablend, the man in suit walking ahead of the others seen at the 0:08 time mark is no other than Darren Cross (Corey Stoll), who later on becomes Yellowjacket. Viewers also have a glimpse of Evangeline Lily as Hope Van Dyne learning kickboxing. Lastly, the teaser ends with a quick look at Scott Lang's Ant-man suit, specifically his boots. A photo of the upper part of the costume was previously shared by Entertainment Weekly.
