Australian singer Kylie Minogue gets her heart broken again. Her Spanish boyfriend Andres Velencoso recently split up with her.

Kylie and Andres met in 2008 during a shoot for the men's fragrance Inverse. The lovely couple started their relationship as a fling, but it slowly turned into love which lasted for years.

The couple spent 5 years together before calling it quits. Minogue is reportedly devastated over the breakup because she thought that Velencoso was "the one." In fact, she gushed about Andres in an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show.

"He's the one. Sound the alarm, four years. I think it's a record. I'm pretty settled," she said.

According to the London Sun newspaper, Kylie's representative has confirmed that the said breakup was indeed true. But, the pair separated amicably.

There have been numerous speculations as to why the gorgeous couple split up. Some think it had something to do with their age gap.

Kylie and Andres have a 10-year age gap, with Kylie being the senior of the two. The age difference could have been a problem because they are in different stages of their lives with a different set of priorities. Kylie in particular wants to settle down and have children soon. It's possible that Andres wasn't ready for that yet.

The couple's busy schedules were also blamed for the inevitable split. A lot of people suspect that this was probably the main cause of the breakup. It's not surprising if this turns out to be true because Kylie is busy doing an album and preparing for a world tour, while Andres, who is a model, is trying to be an actor as well.

It seems Minogue is really unlucky in love. She previously dated French actor Olivier Martinez, who is now Halle Berry's fiancé with whom he has a child with. Before dating Martinez, she was also involved with rocker Lenny Kravitz, Jay Kay of Jamiroquai and the late INXS singer Michael Hutchence.

At least Kylie's career is still going strong after more than 25 years in the business.

Kylie will be a coach in "The Voice," UK edition. She will be joined by Ricky Wilson of the Kaiser Chiefs rock band. Fellow musicians Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am will complete the lineup. Her new job as a mentor will definitely keep her busier than ever. Plus, the release of her newest album as well as her world tour is scheduled for 2014 which adds to her workload.

Her busy work schedule could have been the reason why her relationship with Velencoso did not work out, but maybe this is what Kylie needs right now in order to move on from her split with Andres.
