'Animal Kingdom' season 2 episode 9 spoilers: Baz recruits J for a special task in 'Custody' [VIDEOS]

"Animal Kingdom," starring Scott Speedman as Barry "Baz" Blackwell, Ellen Barkin as Janine "Smurf" Cody, Finn Cole as Joshua "J" Cody and Shawn Hatosy as Andrew "Pope" Cody, will have a new episode titled "Custody," which airs on TNT on Aug. 1. It will show J being recruited by Baz for a special mission. Read on to learn more about it.

"Animal Kingdom" season 2, episode 9 will feature Baz asking J to do a special and personal job for him. According to a press release from TNT, Baz will also bow out of a planned yacht heist. Meanwhile, the other "Animal Kingdom" cast members Jake Weary (Deran) and Ben Robson (Craig) will consider other options because Baz chose to sit out on the job. "Custody" was written by Etan Frankel and directed by Gary Goldman.

'Custody' guest stars

According to the Internet Movie Database (IMDb), the guest stars in this episode will be Juan Alfonso as Trip, Joshua Close as Nate, Jack Conley as Jake, Cris D'Annunzio as Dean, Dasha German as a Casino Girlfriend, Aamya Deva Keroles as Lena, Jennifer Landon as Amy, Scotty Tovar as Rafael and Joseph Julian/JJ Soria as Marco. They will be joined by "Animal Kingdom" cast member Molly Gordon as Nicky Belmont, who will also appear in this episode.

'Animal Kingdom' episodes: 'Grace' and 'Treasure'

The episode before "Custody" is "Grace," which airs on July 25. It will show Pope trying to divert suspicious cops from bugging Amy about the robbery at the megachurch. Meanwhile, Baz will follow Smurf to find out her secret. As for Craig, he will plan a unique heist by himself. "Grace was written by Megan Martin and directed by Cherie Nowlan. After "Grace" and "Custody," the "Animal Kingdom" season 2 episode 10 titled "Treasure" will be aired on Aug. 8. It was directed by Josef Wladyka and written by Rasheed Newson and TJ Brady.

The "Animal Kingdom" TV series airs in the US on TNT every Tuesday at 9 pm ET/PT. It can also be viewed on Netflix.
