Aside from being a “minimally talented spoiled brat,” Angelina Jolie is also “seriously out of her mind.” That’s what producer Scott Rudin told Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chairman Amy Pascal in newly released leaked emails.

In the earlier released hacked emails between Rudin and Pascal, the two were arguing about the now-abandoned “Jobs” film, a biopic about Apple founder Steve Jobs, and its director. Rudin was set on having David Fincher to direct the film, but Pascal told him Jolie was also after Fincher.

Somewhere in their emails, Rudin called Jolie a “minimally talented spoiled brat,” telling Pascal that he wouldn’t want to risk his career for her. That’s not the only thing he said about Brad Pitt’s wife, though. In the new leaked conversations, Rudin appeared to be agreeable and even placating when he was communicating with Jolie, but had opposite things to say behind her back.

According to the email excerpts obtained by Gawker, the trio were discussing possible directors and looks for the “Cleopatra” film, which Jolie appeared to be so passionate about. She was originally set on securing Fincher, but later on conceded on other top notch directors like Martin Scorsese. They still weren’t able to decide and locked on a helmer, though.

The other directors they named were also unavailable for filming. So when Rudin asked Jolie who her “wild card” directors were, the actress-turned-director replied, “I’m studying a few more films to be sure. Let’s talk next week. Xxx” Apparently, Jolie’s search for greater knowledge horrified Rudin.

“Beyond belief. She’s studying films. Kill me please. Immediately,” he wrote to Pascal, excluding the subject, Jolie, in the email.

Jolie was also concerned about the direction Rudin and Pascal wanted to take Cleopatra. She insisted on it showcasing the titular character’s female leadership, but the two honchos wanted to feature romance in the film so it could be viable commercially.

Additionally, there were conversations in which Rudin seemed to be trying to woo Jolie in giving up the Cleopatra adapted into screenplay by Eric Roth for a London production of Shakespeare’s “Antony and Cleopatra.” Jolie was having none of it, and she told them her disagreements in an eloquently written email that gently turned down Pascal and Rudin’s suggestions.

“Above all I’m thrilled to hear the passion you both continue to have for this. I would say however that I don’t think it’s as off as you both do. I think making it a love story could undermined (sic) the female leadership and epic that we have built,” Jolie wrote. She continued to insist on Roth’s script, though she said she’s open to discussions.

This is where Rudin excluded her in the email once again to reply to Pascal about his real thoughts on Jolie. “She’s seriously out of her mind,” he said. And when Pascal suggested a meeting in person among the three of them, Rudin replied, “Nooooooo noooooo noooooo please! Not a meeting!”

There was also a matter of Jolie, who will play Cleopatra, going bald. The mother of six was first hesitant because it might undermine the sensuality of the character, but she then agreed with Rudin that it wouldn’t be a turnoff.

“And for the record I find it sexy and am happy to be bold (sic). Feels statuesque and clean,” she wrote to Pascal and Rudin. But the subject of her going bald still kept the two actively discussing her appearance.

The “Cleopatra” film is still alive, though it appeared to be trapped in development hell. “Jobs,” meanwhile, has been let go from Sony, and is now at the hands of Universal Pictures. Deadline has just reported that Michael Stuhlbarg will be joining Michael Fassbender and Seth Rogen in the film, which Danny Boyle is directing.
