Shazam, one of the popular music apps has added another feature that will be serving Android Wear and Apple Watch users, according to reports.

According to a report from Bidness Etc, Android Wear users can now create a ‘My Shazam List’ and access millions of song lyrics on their smartwatches. Prior to this update, Shazam app could only be accessed from desktops, smartphones and tablets but now users can simply update the application on their smartphones and use it on their Android Wear, reports Bidness Etc.

According to a report on Android Headlines, Shazam is one of the first and most popular apps and it started as a song recognition software but with time, it included more features. Currently, the app has many useful features and users who have an Android Wear device and Shazam installed will be able to recognize a song playing in a rapid manner by tapping their smartwatch twice, reports Android Headlines. Any song playing on the smartphone and the songs identified by the users can be viewed on the Android Wear device, as per the Android Headlines report.

Each and every song accessed by the user gets automatically added to the ‘My Shazam Track’ playlist and these new features will bring in a lot of functionality to the app, reports Android Headlines. The publication also mentioned that the new update can be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store.

As per a report on Droid Life, Shazam will use the smartwatch’s built-in mic to listen to the track and all the necessary information will be displayed on the smartwatch.

According to the Bidness Etc report, users will still not be able to buy tunes directly from their smartwatches and users will have to keep their smartphones near their Android Wear for accurate result from Shazam. Though Shazam has rolled out an application for the Apple Watch, the new update can now be availed by Android Wear users, reports Bidness Etc.

Android Wear has been receiving a lot of support from major app developers and its potential is yet to be explored by both developers and users, according to the Android Headlines report.
