Google is expected to release its Android M update sometime soon. Whereas the Android M update was previously associated wit the version number 6.0, new evidence shows it might be a 5.2 edition. Likewise, new demo mode highlights the update's capabilities to hide notifications, set battery to 100 and clock in at 5:20. Will Google succeed better with Android M 5.2 than previous updates?

Often, the version number of the of the update dictates how significant and large it will be. For instance, a switch from the version 1.5 to version 2.0 will mean bigger changes as opposed to just switching from version 1.4 to 1.5. In the same way that Google switched from Android 4.3 Jelly Bean to Android 4.4 KitKat, a jump to the 5.0 Lollipop series meant big.

According to Phone Arena, there seems to be speculations that Google will not for the 6.0 version. The first significant evidence is a screenshot taken from the Android M's "demo mode" feature. The feature in spotlight allows the interface to clear/hide notifications, simulate clock and battery and transform the UI into a more presentable version. The important information in the recent leak is the clock saying 5:20.

In the second edition of the Android M Developer Preview, there is a new feature called the "System UI tuner." Under the System UI tuner is the "demo mode." This allows users to turn on the feature and automatically set the status bar to clean notifications even upcoming ones. The batter display also now shows 100 percent. The 5:20 screenshot remains significant as many suppose this as the version since previous modes showed 4:40 for Android 4.4 and 5:0 for Android 5.0. Google has not released the final details of the update yet. All leaks and predictions should be taken with a grain of salt.
