The HTC One (M7) users across the globe can now rejoice as they can migrate from Android 4.4.2 to Android 5.0 with the latest update. It is a known fact that the M7's Android update has been delayed repeatedly for several times now. But according to the credible HTC tipster LlabTooFeR, who is also a senior developer at the XDA community, the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop software update for the 2013 flagship HTC One (M7) has been leaked. However, it is reportedly the "semi-final version" of the official firmware for the M7. But then the recognised developers at the XDA community have compiled a "working unofficial" build for the early adopters to try.

Notably, the same tipster, LlabTooFeR, has also uploaded a video, demoing the Android 5.0 Lollipop firmware running the HTC One (M7) called Maximus HD. In addition to housing the newest Lollipop features, the build LRX22F also offers the newest iteration of HTC's Sense v6.0 UI to the One (M7), notes Phone Arena.

It is worth mentioning that the aforesaid build is not a fully-customized Android version. However, this update reportedly comes with several "custom tweaks and improvements." Nonetheless, there will not be any significant difference from the official Android 5.0 Lollipop build, which is scheduled for roll out towards the end of January, says the same site.

Furthermore, LlabTooFeR's Android update for the HTC One (M7) will reportedly work only with several models of the device. This includes the 801s (international version), 801e (Asian version) and the 801n (specific to T-Mobile/AT&T). Interested HTC One (M7) owners can download the software update from XDA community. Readers are advised to take a back up of their device and follow the instructions given in the community page prior to installing the update.

On the other hand, the 2014 flagship HTC One (M8) will reportedly receive its Android 5.0 Lollipop update in the upcoming week and this will be followed by the One (M7), says Phone Arena. Interested readers can check out the video of the One (M7) with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update:
