T-Mobile has finally announced the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy Note 4. It is worth noting that, T-Mobile is reportedly the last carrier to roll out the Lollipop update among the major ones like AT&T, Verizon and Sprint in the U.S. In addition, the Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy Alpha has also been rolled out in South Korea.

Android 5.0 Lollipop Update For Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The long wait for the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Galaxy Note 4 under T-Mobile has finally come to an end. Apparently, T-Mobile has started rolling out the update over-the-air and the size of the software package is reportedly 1.1 GB. Therefore, prior to installing the update, the Note 4 users are advised to have a stable Wi-Fi connection. As always, the device is expected to have at least 50 percent battery charge during the start of the download, in addition to having at least 3 GB of free space for smooth installation, notes GSM Arena.

Meanwhile, the software package download might take up to 30 minutes and the installation could reportedly take an hour to complete. After completing the installation procedure, the Galaxy Note 4 users should see the following OS version on their handsets: Android 5.0.1 Lollipop with version number N910TUVU1COD6.

In case, the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users have not received the Lollipop notification yet, the update can be manually checked by navigating to Settings menu. The other way is to use Samsung’s desktop PC software Kies to get the update, notes GSM Arena.

Android 5.0 Lollipop Update For Samsung Galaxy Alpha

Here is a good news for the Samsung Galaxy Alpha owners that are eagerly waiting for the Lollipop update. Samsung has apparently started sending out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to Galaxy Alpha users in South Korea. Reportedly, three major carriers in South Korea are rolling out this update. Plus, the Galaxy Alpha users can reportedly download the update via Samsung Kies, if not users can also wait for the over-the-air update.

Moreover, the Galaxy Alpha is reportedly receiving the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop version. Therefore, this update brings in Material Design, improved performance, notification changes and also enhanced battery life. In any case, this Lollipop update is currently available only in South Korea. Therefore, the global roll out should commence within a few weeks, notes Sam Mobile.
