HTC One M7 And One M8 Google Play Edition

Several owners of the HTC One M7 and One M8 Google Play Edition devices have downloaded the official Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Users tweeted images of Android 5.0 update on both GPE devices at the Twitter account of HTC Vice President of Product Management Mo Versi with HTC One M8 having Android 5.0.1 build version. Features included on the Android 5.0 update are tweaks for the lock screen, Recent Apps list, Material Design implementation, native battery saving mode and management tools for notifications. Android 5.0 for HTC One GPE devices require at least 500 MB of free space on the internal storage for installation purposes.

LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition

Android 5.0 Lollipop update for LG G Pad 8.3 GPE has been made available during the last few days in November. It requires at least 500 MB of free space on the internal storage to be installed and available via Over-the-Air update process. The firmware offers the usual improvements from the latest Android version such as new visual style, interactive lock screen and a native battery saver. Users can update the device via OTA process or flash it manually by downloading the firmware here.

Motorola Moto G Google Play Edition

Android 5.0.1 is the latest firmware release for the Motorola Moto G GPE, according to reports from Android Authority. It brings the Material Design user interface, improvements on system performance, new lock screen notifications and a battery saver to extend usage time. Aside from that, Android 5.0.1 enhances overall performance of CPU, RAM and graphics based on a screenshot grabbed via AnTuTu benchmarking tool. Moto G GPE running Android 4.4.4 KitKat scored 17,049 points, while Android 5.0.1 Lollipop boosted it to 18,694 points.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition

Recently, Google released the official Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy S4 GPE version reported by SamMobile. It requires at least 500 MB of free internal storage space to be installed and delivers various enhancements such as Material Design UI, faster performance, new lock screen, several user account support and better battery life.

Sony Z Ultra Google Play Edition

Android 5.0 Lollipop update also landed on the Sony Z Ultra GPE smartphone with build version LRX21P.S3.4201 and file size of 397 MB. It can be installed on the device via wireless update by going to Settings > About Phone > System Updates or downloading the firmware at XDA Developer Forum. Improvements provided by the new firmware include new visual style, lock screen notifications and power-saving mode.
