The parents of Amy Winehouse, Mitch and Janis, thanked reporters and fans paying tribute to their 27-year-old as they visited the late singer’s home in London.

"You've got to do what you've got to do," Mitch Winehouse was quoted as telling reporters by Sky News trying to fight back tears as he thanked them.

"I know a lot of you, we've been together for five, six years, I know you've got a job to do. I'm glad you're all here anyway,” the late singer’s father said as he shook hands with some of them, according to Sky News.

The singer’s parents were greeted by tributes from fans that come in all forms as they arrived at the Winehouse’s Camden home in London. The singer’s mother, Janis, according to The Telegraph was visibly shaken up as she looks at the tributes left by fans that included alcoholic drinks and cigarettes, soft toys, flowers and candles.

"And you people in the street, I can't tell you what this means to us - it really is making this a lot easier for us,” Mitch Winehouse told the “Rehab” fans, according to the Sky News.

Mitch said that his daughter has devoted her life to family and supporters.

"Amy was about one thing and that was love, her whole life was devoted to her family and her friends and to you guys as well.,” Mitch said, adding, "We're devastated and I'm speechless but thanks for coming."
