Amy Schumer shows no hesitation as she strips to her underwear and poses topless for her photo shoot with Annie Liebovitz. The comedian is among those who will grace the pages of Pirelli's 2016 calendar.

Schumer poses with her lingerie and her stomach rolls in full display on her December photo for Pirelli shared by The Telegraph. The actress is also topless. However, Liebovitz made sure to censor Schumer’s photo by posing her with her arm lifted as she holds a coffee cup so to cover her naked breasts.

Most of the women featured in the pages of the Pirelli's 2016 calendar are fully dressed. Only the “Trainwreck” star, tennis champ Serena Williams and model Natalia Vodianova, founder of charity Naked Heart Russia, are the only ones posing in the flesh, according to the New York Times.

Schumer’s topless photo is said to be an inside joke. As what Liebovitz said in a statement shared by The Telegraph, “it's as if she didn't get the memo saying she could keep her clothes on." Liebovitz added that Schumer’s portrait “added some fun” factor to the calendar.

Williams on the other hand is also topless as she poses with her back to the camera in her underwear. Liebovitz labelled her photos of the tennis player as “body studies.” She said this is to represent the physical power Williams embodies in her figure.

Meanwhile, Vodianova is also naked underneath a satin robe. She is photographed with one bare leg exposed and with her child clutched in her arms.

The photos in the Pirelli 2016 calendar are a direct contrast to the uncensored images of topless women featured in the 2015 calendar. Instead of sexy models posing in the nude and in revealing outfits, next year's calendar highlights “women of achievement.” These include philanthropists, octogenarians, activists and comedians. Twelve models were chosen based on their contribution “to making a difference to the world.”

Lucasfilm chairman Kathleen Kennedy, president of Ariel investments Mellody Yobson, artists Sherin Neshat and Yoko Ono, blogger Tavi Gevinson and director Ava Duvernay are among the other women featured in Pirelli's 2016 calendar with Schumer, Williams and Vodianova.
