Long-awaited Amy Schumer’s Australia and New Zealand tour "Live Under" has been cancelled because of the artiste’s ill-health. The tour promoter Live Nation announced the news on Monday. However, the company did not elaborate on Schumer’s illness.

The American stand-up comedian was scheduled to perform a bunch of sold-out shows this month in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. The first show of the tour was slated to take place in Australia on Dec. 10 at Perth Arena. The last show of the tour was scheduled for Dec. 17 in New Zealand.

The promoter announced the sad news in a statement writing, “Live Nation regret to announce that Amy Schumer’s Australia – New Zealand December tour dates will not go ahead due to illness.”

The company has elaborated that it is not possible to organise replacement shows because of Schumer’s tight schedule. “Unfortunately, due to Amy Schumer’s tight schedule it is not possible to schedule replacement dates however, we will be working to confirm a return to Australia as soon as is practical,” the statement added.

Amy Schumer’s Australia and New Zealand tour: Refund details

Live Nation has ensured that it will refund the tickets within 10 working days. Customers who purchased the tickets using their debit or credit cards need not take any action in this regard. The refund will show up in their account within 10 working days. In case the credit card used for the purchase of the tickets is no longer valid, the customers shall contact the place of purchase.

Cancellation of Amy Schumer’s Australia and New Zealand tour has left her fans disappointed as they were waiting for the star’s stand-up since a long time. Last year, Schumer performed a one-off show in Melbourne while she was in town to promote “Trainwreck.”

In September, Schumer was hospitalised in Paris for food poisoning. At that time, she was on vacation with her boyfriend Ben Hanisch.
