Plus, Kanye West also stole the spotlight from them with his performance. Spoiler alert: This update contains more "American Idol" 2016 spoilers. Read on at your own risk if you have not watched the latest episode.

“American Idol The Farewell Season” featured the "Denver & Atlanta Auditions" on Jan. 6 and the "Little Rock & San Francisco Auditions" on Jan. 7. It began on a youthful note as the very first hopeful who took to the stage was 15-year old Michelle Marie Lecza. Lecza delivered an outstanding performance of “Blue” by LeAnn Rimes which helped her earn the golden ticket to Hollywood.

Meanwhile, Josiah Siska, 17, made sure that his deep voice gave “American Idol” judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. some goosebumps. Siska’s performance of Johnny Cash’s "(Ghost) Riders In The Sky" helped him secure a spot on the next round.

Real-life partners Alex and Jordan Sasser also auditioned for the long-running Fox reality singing competition. They even brought their baby girl, which they referred to as the lucky mascot for the show. Unfortunately, only Jordan was able to make it through the auditions.

Sonika Vaid, 20, delivered her own version of Carrie Underwood’s “Look At Me,” which helped her earn the ticket. Connick, Jr. as well as Urban and Lopez were all impressed with her.

“You know, you sang beautifully. That was a perfect performance. I was totally engaged. This is one of the only times this particular season that I saw somebody that I actually think could win this thing. With a voice like that, that’s a pure God-given voice,” Connick, Jr. said on the video posted on the “AI” YouTube channel.

Connick, Jr. also took to Twitter to express his excitement about "American Idol The Farewell Season."

Kanye West even showed up to audition on “American Idol 2016.” Needless to say, he earned his own golden ticket for his amazing rap performance. His wife, Kim Kardashian-West also appeared backstage with “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest to give her moral support.
