To promote “American Idol” Season 15, it was revealed in 2015 that Kim Kardashian West’s husband Kanye West will be featured during the audition round. Recently, it was also revealed that a fan of Kelly Clarkson will try his luck in the last season of the Fox singing competition show.

“American Idol” Season 15 is set to premiere on Jan. 6, Wednesday, on Fox featuring the first day of the audition round in Denver, Colorado, and Atlanta, Georgia, with returning judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. Ryan Seacrest will still be host.

On Jan. 7, Thursday, the second part of the “American Idol” Season 15 premiere will feature the auditions in Little Rock, Arkansas and San Francisco, California. Like in the past 14 seasons, those who pass the audition round will get the Golden Ticket as their access to the Hollywood Week.

In the episode featuring Kanye, Kim is seen cheering her husband on while awaiting the verdict from outside the room with Seacrest. Rihanna and Paul McCartney’s “FourFiveSeconds” collaborator will also describe his Chicago roots.

The fan who proclaimed that he is a big fan of the first “American Idol” winner during the audition round is Justin Sullivan. The 22-year-old singer likes Clarkson so much that he even had T-shirts made with his Mr.Clarkson nickname written across the back.

Apparently, Sullivan almost had the opportunity to meet Clarkson once but he missed it. Connick was so impressed with his dedication to Clarkson that he asked the crew to move a giant standup poster of Clarkson next to him during his audition.

Another singer to be expected on “American Idol” Season 15 during the auditions in Little Rock, Arkansas is Cheyenne Goss, who will sing “Dibs” by Kelsea Ballerini. In an email, she told Effingham Daily News, “Being on American Idol has been a dream of mine since I was really little.”

There will also be auditions in Tulsa, Oklahoma, featuring Kailey Abel, who had made it to the first open round of “The Voice” auditions but did not make it to the second cut. She told Tulsa World was invited to audition again for the NBC series’ upcoming season but she declined because of “American Idol” Season 15.
