Twenty-four semi-finalists - 12 girls and 12 guys - have been named in the 11th season of American Idol. Tonight, the boys perform live and a male wildcard will be revealed. Then next week, it's the girls' turn to perform for America's votes.

The judges made their final decision on who should get on the 'Idol' stage after the contestants were down to 42 in Las Vegas, with one final performance from each of the hopefuls being the most crucial factor in the decision.

After this, it will be up to the voters to decide on who will be the next American Idol.

Out of the 12 girls in the Top 24, only three really stood out for their vocal range, performance zeal, and pop star quality. The rest are mostly inconsistent, but the game could change now that their Idol journey is peaking up.

It's a shame the judges had to let go of Lauren Gray, who gave a heart-stopping cover of Adele's One and Only in her St. Louis audition. If only she had the confidence of any of the rest of the girls, her pop star quality would have shown ever so naturally.
