“American Idol” 2015 is set to announce its Top 3 this Wednesday on FOX. Last week’s episode 27 saw the exit of Tyanna Jones in the fifth place. The same episode brought Jax and Nick Fradiani over 100,000 YouTube views for their two videos each.

Jax performed “Empire State of Mind” and “Human” in episode 27. She got mixed reviews from “American Idol” 2015 judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. During rehearsal with mentor Martina McBride, however, Jax got no critique from the country queen.

Nick Fradiani covered “Bright Lights” in his first number. This is the week’s most viewed video (almost 75,000 views) on AI’s verified YouTube account. Judge Lopez on Wednesday said Nick was “peaking” at the best time in “American Idol” 2015.

Fradiani also performed “What Hurts The Most.” Jay DeMarcus of Rascall Flatts was also a mentor in the same week. He jammed his band’s single with Fradiani during rehearsal. At 29, Fradiani is making Idol history by making it to the Season 14 Top 4.

Clark Beckham got in a bit of creative disagreement with AI’s resident mentor, Scott Borchetta. He made it clear after his second performance, however, that he wanted to win “American Idol.” He performed “Living for the City” and “Your Man.”

Rayvon Owen survives “American Idol” Season 14 episode 27 without the Twitter Idol save. He got more votes than Tyanna Jones, who bid the contest farewell with “Run the World.” Rayvon performed “Need You Now” and “Believe.” The second number gained some very positive reviews from the panel.

Incidentally, two “American Idol” Season 14 hopefuls are celebrating their birthdays in the show’s finale month. Jax turns 19 on May 5, and Beckham turns 23 on May 15. Watch some of their clips below, from AI’s verified YouTube account:
