“American Idol” 2015 finale results will be announced late night Wednesday on FOX. Fans of Nick Fradiani who use the hashtag #FradianiFever are rallying behind him. Fradiani, 29, has been on a steady journey to stardom since auditioning with girlfriend Yanni G. Can he beat Clark Beckham?

“American Idol XIV” judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. said voters would have a tough time choosing between Fradiani and Beckham. Fradiani’s jam leans on pop and rock, while Beckham sings the classics and the blues.

According to the judges, Fradiani has consistently improved after each performance. Connick Jr. even reminded the viewers at one point that Fradiani almost did not make it to the audition in New York.

“All I could help to think about is about how you almost didn’t audition that day and I’m sure glad you did because that was very strong again,” Connick Jr. told Nick after the latter covered Edwin McCain’s “I’ll Be” on “American Idol” 2015 Top 3 night.

Host Ryan Seacrest and the Idol crew are aware of the “Fradiani Fever” going on in social media sites. If Nick wins the Idol title, he would only be the third contestant who is beyond 25 years old to win the competition. His competition, Beckham, is 23 years old. Is age relevant in the voting results?

“American Idol” has crowned two 17-year-old winners: Jordin Sparks (Season 6) and Scotty McCreery (Season 10). Taylor Hicks was 29 when he won Season 5. David Cook was 26 when he won against 16-year-old David Archuleta in Season 7. This season’s youngest is Daniel Seavey, who turned 16 this April. He finished at ninth place.

Idol judge Harry Connick Jr. has pointed out a few times that Fradiani’s age-given experience is an advantage against the younger contenders. Will it take him to Idol championship?
