Your favorite judge Idol is back. Australian country singer Keith Urban is returning on American Idol 2014, and his comeback had been announced by no other than Fox Chairman Kevin Reilly.

Nicole Kidman’s hubby has captured the audience and touched the hearts of millions of American Idol fans that prompted the Fox officials to make sure that the fans are going to see him again in the upcoming season of the network’s popular reality TV show.

Reilly however, has kept his lips sealed as to who will be joining Keith in the judge panel of the American Idol. Two things are certain - - judge Randy Jackson did not change his mind and thought that his twelve years on the show is enough and judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey will no longer take the spotlight from the contestants which they had successfully done so with their bickering on air.

"I will confirm one thing, Keith is going to return to the show, you could see how much he loved the show," Fox chairman Kevin Reilly was quoted as saying by The Age.

Of all the judges in ‘Idol’ Season 12, Keith seemed to be the only one the audience will be “comfortable” to see. Keith, according to Reilly fits the profile of the best American Idol judge who will help “Idol” highlight the contestants more than its judges. This means, there will also be no Jennifer Lopez in Season 13 despite earlier reports that the Latina singer was in talks to the show’s officials to be on the show again.

"There is no deal with her or with anybody else," Reilly added.

Other judges who have been reported being eyed by the show’s officials include Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson. Lambert is one of the most popular alumni of the show and he has been known for his antics and theatrics on stage as well as his great vocal talents. Jennifer for her part has become one of the biggest stars the show has produced to date having been an inspiration to many despite leaving the show early in the competition (top final 7). Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson are other Idol winners suggested to be on the show.

American Idol Season 13 airs in January 2014.
