Candice Glover showed America and the whole world that she’s “got it all” and that the South Carolina, Season 12 winner has what it takes to be America’s next Idol as she defeated Kree Harrison in the most interesting, if not shocking final results in the history of the reality television show in the U.S.

Is Candice the right choice? This question has reverberated across the world wide web and in the minds of millions around the world, after Candice Glover successfully defeated Kree Harrison and being proclaimed winner at the end of the 2-hour Season 12 finale held at Nokia Theater, Los Angeles Thursday, May 16, 630pm EDT.

Sure, Candice was the obvious winner as she has shown stronger vocals than Kree and she has had more show-stopping performances on Idol in the last four weeks. Despite Kree’s ability to stretch high notes with her country-Southeastern twang, Candice is no doubt the better finalist, and should the finale ended otherwise, Idol would have been in so much trouble that it could be in danger to losing not just all of its four judges and the ratings- - but its credibility, that it then end could mean death of the show altogether.

The still very-naïve-looking, unassuming, Idol veteran from South Carolina came to the show’s final vote night, Wednesday prepared and armed with everything she’s got - - her strong, powerful vocals and her determination to bring home the bacon after three auditions and two losses (and now, one win) on American Idol.

She was determined to get the well-deserved win. Her final song on vote night already wrote her name on Idol winning page, with her performance of “I” (Who Have Nothing) by Ben E. King.

The judges sure loved it: Randy Jackson was moving his body and his head to the song, with eyes shut, feeling her every note; Keith Urban was waiving, putting his hands in the air affected by her music; Nicki Minaj has the unusual smile (genuine, sweet one) on her face and so did Mariah.

As if that wasn’t enough, all four of the judges got to their feet (note that Randy was vowing, and gesturing “hands down” in awe of her performance) and gave Candice her much-deserved final remarks (praise) for what no has been the new Idol winner’s, best and winning performance on the show.

Let’s listen to what the judges had to say:

Keith Urban, “..Oh my, god, it's just crazy. You're such a powerhouse, Candice and that's song, god it's just like a planet exploding to life. Your mom crying over there which is just breaking my heart right here. It was incredible.!”

Nicki Minaj, “I love the performance. You were even more comfortable with that performance than your single, which I understand because you guys just heard the single for the first time … but I think what [comes] applause for you was superstar, command on stage and this is a big stage and big place for you guys to perform in, and the fact that you always walk on there and own it immediately, salute!”

Mariah Carey, “Candice, it doesn’t matter if we hear you sing this particular song, every single night of this competition. What you have is the ability, the innate ability to take any song, and turn it to a vehicle for that amazing voice that nobody can deny. You have undeniable talent, it surpasses what even I could never imagine I would see here and I’m so thankful to have been part of this experience with you because I'm gonna be listening for you for years to come.”

Randy Jackson, “Yo, this is one of the singing competitions, Ryan, and let me tell you something that I know for sure that everybody watching and that everybody in here knows for sure that that girl can plum flat out sing. This is how you do it. that's just the winning performance. You just shot the whole night to a whole another level, and that's what I've been waiting on because it's about singing and baby, you got it all.

Candice was visibly humbled by the good words received and she was closed to tears to hear them from the judges on vote night. She needs to start believing now that she indeed, has got it all and what it takes to be America’s next Idol and she is the right choice winner - - not Kree Harrison, not Angie Miller.
