Not done with the Hollywood week and Aussie judge for American Idol Keith Urban had claimed that American Idol 2013 is “a girl’s year.”

Now down to final Top 10, Urban’s forecast seems to come close to a reality as a female contestant continues to dominate the pack of singing Idols: Angie Miller. Read on and find out why Angie Miller makes it to the top and be named as 2013 American Idol!

The 18-year-old brunette from Beverly, Massachusetts has continued to gain the judges’ nods and the hearts of millions of AI viewers since her solo performance of “You Set Me Free” on the third round of Hollywood Week. Bobby Olivier of The Star Ledger calls this an “inspiring performance” before adding that her performance in February had “launched her to the front of the ‘Idol’.”

And Angie never stopped since then.

Her choices of music have brought her to the Top 10 and could be bringing home the bacon with them imprinted on the hearts and minds of loyal Idol viewers: from Jessie J’s “Nobody is Perfect” during the Las Vegas round to Colton Dixon’s “Never Gone” during the Top 20 for women to her “victory song” to Top 10, Beyonce’s “I was Here.”

Indeed she was and she seems to be not getting anywhere.

Inspired by a related article by Bobby Olivier of The Star Ledger, here are the top reasons why Angie Miller could the 2013 American Idol.

1. Angie’s Voice Defines her. But IBTimes-AU adds, that with her voice are her songs of choice. Angie seems to be doing the right thing from the beginning as far as choosing her songs each week. From Jessie J’s “Nobody is Perfect” (Las Vegas round) to Colton Dixon’s “Never Gone” (Top 20 for women) to Beyonce’s “I was Here” (her “victory song” to Top 10). Her choices of song non-arguably helped her show who she really is as an artist. She sings pop music and this genre does her voice real good on America’s top-rated television show.

2. Angie proves to be a real artist, with extra talent. While most of the Idol “male winners” have impressed the judges with their skills to play the guitar as all of them have done on the show, Angie has got something else to wow the audience. She can play the piano. And she writes songs, too. These added bonus will surely not go unnoticed among the audience.

3. Angie has the looks. There’s no doubt that her curl will help Angie take her to the top of this season’s American Idol. It worked well for Katharine McPhee. Katharine’s sultry look with her hair down had wowed the audience when she performed “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” that even Simon Cowell conceded to defeat and admitted making a nasty remark after that touching performance. Angie has what Idol needs in a contestant - -an image that’s easy to work on to. She doesn’t look so pretty but she doesn’t look bad either. She’s slim and she’s always all smiles. It’s going to be very easy to determine how her natural beauty could be adjusted to a more-star-power-look.

4. Angie draws audience far better than the rest. Having a buzz will work best for Angie. And she certainly has one judging by the number of views her performance of original “You Set Me Free” has on YouTube. The song has got nearly 2.5 million views, said Olivier, which could guarantee Idol votes for Angie. The teen singer has also had 40,000 followers on Twitter even just after two weeks it went live and this could be a good thing going for her.

5. Angie has the story, too. Now that a “back story” element has been added to attract more audience for Idol, Angie doesn’t have all the good stuff. The Idol frontrunner has her own story to tell. And a very inspiring one, too. Angie has admitted on Idol that she has significant hearing loss not just on one, but on both ears. What could be more touching than a girl to offer some music for us to listen to when she can hardly hear herself? Now, that’s a story.

The dream for Angie Miller to be this season’s winner of the American Idol may soon come to a reality. But we can never always tell. With a reality TV show that things can always change overnight or in just a snap, we will only know who this year’s Idol will be when America votes on the final two. It’s only clear that Angie has what it takes to draw more votes in her favor.
