American Idol 2013 (Season 12) saw Australian country star Keith Urban throwing the most emotive expressions at the panel. Some viewers find his "getting carried away" looks cute, some others say it's cheesy. Overall, however, Keith has shown he can be a sensible Idol judge by being as honest as he could to the contestants. But will he stay on as a judge next season? He has said he wants to, and here are 5 reasons why he should.

Keith Urban to Stay on American Idol? Top 5 Reasons!

1. Sound, sensible comments. Granted, he can be too kind. But he's not repeating phrases over and over just to kill some American Idol air time.

2. Country authority. Many Idol graduates make it big in the pop/country industry. Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, as well as Season 10 winner Scotty McCreery are big idols to many Idol hopefuls. When Keith Urban makes some country-related critique, he elicits better performances from the contestants.

3. No drama. Always cool, always having both feet on the ground, Keith sails through awkward panel moments by simply focusing on his job - to judge on Idol.

4. That cute Aussie accent. It could have been highlighted by the fact that Keith always spoke before or after Nicki Minaj. Her often odd speaking voice could be too over the top for some viewers, so when Keith speaks, relief is back on air.

5. How many more shirts? Keith's fans want see more of his shirts, more of his style.

"I have no official information of anything," Keith Urban was quoted by the Associated Press on whether or not he would stay on American Idol. "I'm pretty much in the same boat as everybody else here with the rumors that have been floating around," he said.

In a separate interview on the E! channel, the 45-year-old hubby to Nicole Kidman said his family enjoyed his presence on American Idol and he would be glad to stay.
