American Idol 2013 is frequently discussed on Facebook and Twitter, among other social network sites. All the contestants have their own Idol-official account on both channels. Which 'Idol' has the most 'likers' and followers - Angie Miller or Candice Glover? These two ladies are currently topping the voting results week after week. Neither one of them has ever been in the bottom 2 or 3.

Here is a snapshot of the social media accounts of this year's American Idol Final Four (as of Thursday 6PM, Apr. 25):

Angie Miller | Facebook Likes: 72, 696 | Twitter Followers: 120, 350
Candice Glover | Facebook Likes: 24, 378 | Twitter Followers: 64,800
Kree Harrison | Facebook Likes: 11,940 |Twitter Followers: 61,789
Amber Holcomb | Facebook Likes: 7,551 | Twitter Followers: 39, 159

The numbers show Angie and Candice are the top two Idol favorites on Twitter and Facebook. Incidentally, they are the only ones in the competition who has never landed on the bottom 2 or 3 since the live rounds started.

American Idol 2013: Angie Miller and Candice Glover - Zero 'Bottom Landings'

What could be the reason for Angie Miller's and Candice Glover's strong internet following and zero bottom landings?

Miller got a great head start as early as Hollywood Week. She drew lots of viewers after performing her own composition "Set You Free." That brilliant number has since been viewed at least 3.5 million times on YouTube. Glover, on the other hand, never missed an opportunity to showcase her vocals. Since Top 10 Week, during which she performed Jordin Sparks' version of "I Who Have Nothing," Glover was consistently a diva in her own right.

The number of an Idol hopeful's fans social media contacts does not necessarily indicate their likelihood of winning American Idol. But Amber Holcomb, who's got the least number of Facebook and Twitter supporters, has been in the bottom of the results twice (Top 9, Top 6).

In contrast, fifth placer Janelle Arthur has over 20,000 Facebook 'likes' and 40,186 Twitter followers. If Janelle had better performances last week, Holcomb could have gone home ahead of the country singer.

Idol judge Mariah Carey has previously said in the panel that she does not understand why "America doesn't get" Amber. Perhaps Amber is the least relatable contestant among the girls in the competition. She is also at a disadvantage against Glover in the same music genre.

Amber should really work on her charisma to stand out among the girls. But instead, she chose (or was directed) to stand so far away from the audience Wednesday night. She brought so much power in her "Power of Love" number, but she was so distant from the voting public. If she survives this week (as in if Kree Harrison goes home), she should consider showing a sweeter, more relatable side of her for the viewers.
