The newly engaged Lady Gaga is all set to star in Season 5 of FX’s horror anthology series, “American Horror Story.” The Grammy winner took to Twitter to make the announcement She also revealed that the new title and theme of Season 5 is “Hotel.”

Gaga, who recently got engaged to Taylor Kinney, said on Twitter, “Make your reservation now. #GagaAHSHotel.” She also posted a video clip. She can be seen removing her black, sequin mask from her face to announce the title of “American Horror Story” Season 5. Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Gaga has signed on as a series regular. According to the report, the role will be Gaga’s first starring role as an actress in a major production. The name and details about the character have not yet been disclosed. Gaga is the first official casting for Season 5.

Ryan Murphy, co-creator of “American Horror Story,” has yet to reveal the complete cast of Season 5. He may reveal that at this year's PaleyFest in March. It is, however, almost confirmed that veteran actress Jessica Lange will not be returning to star in Season 5 of “American Horror Story.” Before the premiere of Season 4, “Freak Show,” Lange had said that she will not be doing future seasons of "American Horror Story" series.

Speaking about the new season of “American Horror Story,” John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks, had said that the new season is going to be “very different” from previous seasons. He told TV Line that he knows about the characters, tone and the time, but did not reveal the details. He said that he is unaware about the cast and also has no clue whether Lange is returning or not. Landgraf said that Murphy has been given complete freedom to decide. He, however, hoped that Season 5 will return to modern time period and said that there will be “large reinvention” between Book 4 and Book 5. It looks like "American Horror Story" is returning to the modern, and it is not about the much speculated 'Operation Top Hat'.

“American Horror Story” Season 5 is expected to premiere this year in October.
