Despite the sad news that Adam Levine has called it quits with longtime girlfriend, Anne Vyalitsyna, of Victoria's Secret, Adam is still hitting up a few high notes on "The Voice."

Levine has confirmed the speculations that he is to join the cast of the highly anticipated season two of Ryan Murphy's "American Horror Story." So who is the hunky vocalist set to play?

Ever since the announcement was made about Maroon 5's lead vocalist signing up to play a character from the "American Horror Story", AHS fans have been on the edge of their seats and the same goes to Adam Levine's dedicated fans. Though Ryan Murphy has his lips sealed on the deal, Adam Levine doesn't bother to hide his excitement in an interview with E's Ryan Seacrest.

"It is the truth," confirms Levine. "I mean, it's pretty much happening. I think it's happening. I don't know how much I can divulge, because Ryan [Murphy] is very under wraps."

As far as the internet goes, Ryan has only shed a few details about the much awaited second season of "American Horror Story."

First off, only a few cast members will be returning namely Evan Peters, Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson and Zachary Quinto. Next is that its goodbye to the Harmon house. The second season will be set in a mental institution set off in the east coast.

What of Adam Levine's character? Well, Levine is set to play half of "The Lovers" which has already got women in line to play the role of his other half. On the other hand, it's quite the same for his real life status which is already open for business. Adam had recently split with long time girlfriend, Anne Vyalitsyna of Victoria's Secret.

Anne Vyalitsyna may be busy bikini romping in the beach post-split but Adam is busy with a few projects. His appearance in Ryan Murphy's loved television series is already bringing on the raves.

What else does the hot and hunky, Adam Levine have to share about his first acting career?

"It's going to be fun. And I told [Ryan] I really didn't know what I was doing but he didn't seem to really care," says Adam. "So I'm just going to go and try to [do] acting. I think I'm going to be kind of playing myself so hopefully it will be easy."
