The American election-themed season of “American Horror Story” is coming, and fans are more than excited for what the show has cooked up. Teasing viewers with cryptic messages and images, the cast for the upcoming season are also being unveiled one by one.

Showrunner Ryan Murphy took to social media to announce his latest casting for “American Horror Story” season 7. “Arrow” alumnus Colton Hayes will be joining the next batch. Also confirmed to be part of the show are newcomers Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner and Leslie Grossman. Of course, show veterans Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters have already signed up for this upcoming season.

Details of who Haynes will be playing on “AHS” season 7 have not yet been revealed, but a picture of the actor with mouth smeared in red, probably lipstick, was shared by Murphy in his introduction. Murphy earlier revealed that it will have election as its main theme, but the cast and crew have been careful not to reveal further details in its signature “American Horror Story” fashion.

Reports say that President Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton will not officially be characters in this season. The story will also pick up the day right after the elections take place.

In May, Murphy teased fans with a post on his Instagram account. The image looked like a sketch of what looked like a devilish clown and a twisted cartoonish elephant. Last May, he also posted a cryptic shot of the back of somebody’s head, its hair dyed in blue.

A lot of fans still find Murphy as well as the rest of the crew pretty secretive. However, the show has been more gracious this season with what it has been unveiling lately. In “American Horror Story: Roanoke,” nothing at all was revealed. They did not even make their presence felt in TV events; neither did they have social media posts about it. Ryan Murphy was creepily silent in social media back then.

No official title for “AHS” season 7 has been revealed yet. The series has already scored a renewal for its eighth and ninth seasons. “American Horror Story” airs on FX in the US and on Channel Eleven in Australia.
