A video of fraternity members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon in the University of Oklahoma chanting the N-word has gone viral. Titled “Unheard March 8, 2015 Press Release:,” the video was published o YouTube on March 8 and has since been viewed more than 600,000 times.

In the nine-second video, several fraternity members dressed in formal wear are chanting that African American students will never be able to join the fraternity. Using racial slurs, the chant includes a reference to lynching.

The video was uploaded on YouTube by minority rights group Unheard and was first reported by the Oklahoma Daily. In an email, Interfraternity Council President Payne Parker told the publication, “The OU Interfraternity Council does not tolerate any of the behavior shown in the video.”

After the video went viral, the University of Oklahoma expelled two students accused of leading the group in the viral fraternity's racist video. This was confirmed by the university’s president, David Boren, in a tweet saying, “I have acted today to expel two students who were leaders in the singing of a racist chant.”

The parents of Levi Pettit, one of the students, also issued an apology saying their son did make a horrible mistake and he will live with its consequences forever. Watch the viral video of the fraternity’s racial chant here:
