The 28th installment of the award-winning CBS reality TV show will air its fifth episode titled “We’re Only Doing Freaky Stuff Today” on Friday. TV Guide reports that the remaining teams take a trip to Chamonix, France, where the race reaches new heights, literally. The contestants are asked to climb 15,000 feet in the French Alps. One team’s dream of winning the ultimate prize is at risk of reaching rock bottom when their clue plummets down the mountain.

“The Amazing Race” Season 28 recap of Leg 3

On the fourth episode, titled “Get It Trending,” the contestants travelled to Geneva, Switzerland, where they were instructed to go to Chocolats Rohr, a chocolate shop. They received their Detour clue that made them choose between Work Bench and Bench Work. In Work Bench, they had to build a Swiss Army knife from scratch, using twenty-seven pieces. A properly assembled knife would earn them their next clue. Teams who chose Bench Work had to proceed to Promenade de la Treille, where they had to calculate how many people could sit on the longest wooden bench in the world, using a local newspaper as a measurement. They’d pass the challenge if their answer was within the 190 to 197 range.

For the Roadblock, the teams found themselves outside the Palace of Nations where their representative had to identify 10 flags out of 193 members of the United Nations. Those with the correct handheld flags in order received the next clue, which instructed them to travel by train to Chamonix, France. The teams had to search for the pit stop in Place du Triangle de l'Amitié, where "The Amazing Race" host Phil Keoghan was waiting for them at the mat.

Pro Frisbee fellas Brodie and Kut beat the others at the pit stop for the second consecutive time, where they were told that they won US$3,000 (AU$4,000). Best friends Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl were named team number two again, followed by engaged choreographers Dana Borriello and Matt Steffanina.

Here’s the rest of the "TAR" Season 28 team placement in the fourth episode: Dating gamers Burnie Burns and Ashley Jenkins; newlyweds Zach and Rachel King; best friends Erin Robinson and Joslyn Davis; mother and son duo Sheri and Cole LaBrant; father and son Scott and Blair. Instagram models Jessica Versteeg and Brittany Oldehoff were the last team to arrive, eliminating them from the race. The two took to Twitter to share their thoughts about exiting the show.
