The first season for the ‘The Amazing Race Australia’ will have its first episode aired tonight on Channel 7, 8:30p.m.

After years of contemplating on creating a local version of the U.S. longest running reality TV show, Channel 7 has finally got down to it and give it an Australian feel to it.

11 teams will be competing for the race and 22 individuals will be followed in their every moves as they travel around the world to meet all the challenges set out for them until they reach their last pitstop to the final leg of the race.

A 90-minute episode for the opening series tonight on Channel Seven provides viewers who will they be rooting for to the finish line. The Australian version of 'The Amazing Race' is hosted by Grant Bowler.
