The doctors have ordered that Amanda Bynes should stay longer at the mental hospital and the troubled former child star is likely to be released from the psychiatric ward by 2014. Despite reports that Amanda’s mental condition has impoved in recent weeks, the doctors remain bothered by her condition and they are not letting her go just yet.

'[Doctor's have] been observing Amanda, and there has been some improvement ... However, her diagnosis is complex, and the appropriate drug cocktail to treat her hasn't been achieved yet,' a source was quoted as saying by RadarOnline, said the Daily Mail.

It is said that it is in Amada’s best interest to stay at the Ronald Reagan treatment center.

The source continued, “”Therefore, her treatment team believes Amanda would benefit from prolonged treatment at UCLA, for at least the rest of the year.”

To prove the need for longer hold, the source described Amanda’s latest condition and response to treatment.

'She has her good days and bad days, and the goal is obviously to get her therapeutic and stable before being released,' added the source.

Meanwhile, TMZ noted that the news website got hold of a photo of Amanda being transferred to UCLA Medical Center for longer treatment. The news web site bought a picture from a photo agency showing images of a woman being transferred from A Thousand Oaks facility to UCLA. In addition to the assertion made by the photo source, you know that it’s Amanda judging by the blue wig the patient was wearing while being transported.

This was later shunned by Amanda’s lawyer, Tamar Arminak who reportedly denied that it was Amanda leaving the facility, claiming the source representation was false.

Also in Amanda’s defense, her publicist, Jonathan Jaxon asserted that she is improving, while admitting that it’s a “long road ahead.”

'Despite some reports, Amanda is improving daily and responding well,' Jaxson said, according to the Daily Mail. 'There is still a long road ahead, and that doesn't mean being confined to a locked-down treatment center.

'Amanda is in the best hands presently, medically, and each day her condition is being monitored. There is not a set release date, but with the great track she is on presently, she will be out of a lockdown facility and continuing to recover elsewhere in the near future.”
