Amanda Bynes, the once famous child star, put in a lot of paradoxes in her explanation, when she was asked why she had suddenly disappeared to New York. On the one hand, she said that she is very "needy for friendship," but that she hates men, according to CBSNews. She added: "I want to f--- them," but on the other hand, she claimed that she was engaged, and yelled "Get away from me."

She added that she wants to be married to Caleb, her 19-year-old fiance, who lives in Costa Mesa, California, and has a job at a bait shop. She wants to settle in New York, where she likes walking and riding a bike, not driving. She said that she does not enjoy driving, or the way she looks inside a car, as the "lighting is very bad."

On Sunday, she was spotted riding through the streets of New York on a Citi Bike, looking hip in a black-and-white plaid sweater over "faded black skinny jeans and open-toe flats," according to Daily Mail. Last year, she had undergone psychiatric treatment after she started a fire in a home in Thousand Oaks. After a few months of recuperation, Amanda Bynes seemed to have relapsed. It looked like she was back to her old addictions---alcohol and drugs, and was caught in New York, after she was arrested on suspicion of "driving under the influence" (DUI) in Los Angeles last week, according to Daily Mail. She had been arrested at 4 a.m. on September 28 in Los Angeles, and released on bail after paying $15,000. She will appear in court on October 23. The 28-year-old was sentenced to three years of probation on charges of drunk driving.

The 28-year-old was spotted at JFK airport on Friday morning as well as afternoon with a cigarette in hand, a cell on her ear and a bandage on her face. She was walking around the Upper East Side smoking continuously. She looked wild, with blonde hair in a mess. She was dressed in "baggy grey joggers, a denim jacket, and a yellow cardigan, she wrapped up with a fuzzy grey scarf," according to TMZ. In the evening she was spotted at the swanky Cartier jewellery store, in which she did not buy anything, but just left.

She just wandered around, and was later spotted in Union Square "speaking to inanimate objects like a tree," according to TMZ. In New York City, she had many of her "public meltdowns" as far back as in 2012. But even now, her friends and family feel helpless to help. In fact, they are afraid that she is "going to die."

Her siblings, Tommy and Jillian, were worried that she did not respond to their messages. Her safety and well-being, especially since she was in New York City, was beginning to worry everyone. They feared that she would die there. In Los Angeles, her parents were almost out of touch, as they were unable to help her. A friend said that Rick and Lynn did not believe that she suffered from schizophrenia, or any other problem, but she did seem out of control. Her well-wishers could not do anything except hope and pray.

A few days after her second DUI arrest, she was seen dining alone in Gladstone's hotel at Los Angeles International Airport on October 3. Earlier that week, she had drunk huge quantities of wine, and was making a scene at the rooftop pool. Finally, when she was arrested on Sunday morning by the California Highway Patrol, the Hairspray actress, 28, had emerged from her conservatorship. Bynes' arrest on Sunday morning comes just seven months after she was put on probation for a 2012 DUI arrest.

She had stopped going to fashion classes as she had failed. She is smoking pot again, and drinking. Bynes also stopped taking her psychiatric medications. She appears to be out of control. In fact, her parents do not even want to become her conservator anymore.
