It took almost five decades before Glen Campbell, 78, won another Grammy. During the 2015 Grammy Awards, which was dominated by Sam Smith, Campbell's song “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” won Best Country Song and was nominated Best Song Written For Visual Media.

Since the country legend was not on hand while he is in the late stages of Alzheimer’s Disease, his wife Kim Wooden, 55, took the stage to accept the award. She was given a standing ovation after she discussed her husband’s final recording.

Wooden accepted the award along with the “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” co-writer Julian Raymond, who thanked the documentary “Glen Cambell: I’ll Be Me” star Scott Borchetta and director James Keach.

Also featuring Sheryl Crow, John Carter Cash, Brad Paisley and Paul McCartney, among others, the documentary is also up for an Oscar with its Best Original Song nomination for both the country legend and Raymond for the song “I’m Not Gonna Miss You.”

At the 67th Directors Guild of America Awards on Feb. 7 in Los Angeles, Wooden told People that her husband, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 211, is “healthy, content and jovial” although he has cognitively “declined quite a bit.”

Campbell also won Grammys in 1968. Posted on YouTube on Oct. 7, 2014, the “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” music video has reached more than 7.3 million views. Watch it here:
