It is not surprising that, the speculations surrounding Xiaomi's devices lined up for 2015 are quite rife. Headquartered in China, the company has made a massive impact across the globe, with its Mi3, Mi4, Redmi 1S and MiPad, among others, in 2014. According to a recent report, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S successor is in the works and very recently, this unnamed handset passed through the famous AnTuTu benchmarking site. And thereby, all the key specifications and features have been revealed. Apparently, the device that made a visit to AnTuTu flaunted a codename HM2014811.

It is worth noting that, the original Redmi 1S handset was very well received during its release, in the emerging markets like India. And the concept of adding killer specifications and selling the device at dirt-cheap rate has worked out very well for Xiaomi. Notably, the Redmi 1S handset retails for as low as $80. Moving on to the Xiaomi Redmi 1S successor features, the wallet-friendly device will reportedly come with a 4.7-inch display and 720 x 1,280 pixels screen resolution. This display combination churns out a pixel density of 312 ppi, reports Phone Arena. Interestingly, these display specifications are the same as the original Redmi 1S or Hongmi 1S handset.

Under the hood, the handset will reportedly be powered by a 64-bit, quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 410) ARM Cortex-A53 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz, along with Adreno 306 GPU. Plus, the device will be backed by a modest 1 GB of RAM configuration. On the software side, the Redmi 1S successor will run on Android v4.4.4 KitKat OS. More importantly, this handset will support LTE.

Speaking of camera configurations, there will be an 8 MP rear-facing unit and a 2 MP front-facing shooter for selfies. On the other hand, the same device also visited TENAA, the Chinese equivalent of FCC. And hence, there are few more specifications to top off the existing ones. Reportedly, the upcoming handset will weigh 132 g and will be 0.36-inch thick. As far as the memory goes, the handset will come equipped with 8 GB of internal storage capacity with microSD card support.

Even though, the reported updates in the upcoming Redmi 1S successor is not up to the mark, Xiaomi has listened to the user feedback and added the much-required LTE support to the handset. Plus, the 64-bit processor is also a good addition to the impressive budget-friendly device.
