Bad news to Madonna fans in Australia. The Queen of Pop cancelled the Australian leg of her current MDNA Tour 2012.

The singer's concert promoter, Live Nation, confirmed the cancellation overnight on Tuesday, but did not give any reason. The pop superstar also snubbed the Aussies in her last two tours mentioning logistics and financial difficulties for the cancellation. Madonna's tour will end in South America this December as planned.

The cancellation angered many Aussie fans since Madonna's manager Guy Oseary committed that the "Material Girl" will pay a visit to the Land Down Under.

Many of the fans were disappointed and vented out their thoughts in various social media sites. Madonna has not been in Australia for 20 years.

The 53-year-old singer is currently performing in the European leg of her tour that has been clouded with too much controversy. The singer is not new to controversies. Madonna faced various controversies since her early years as a singer.

Known for her oozing sexuality and liberal views, the pop royalty flashed a nipple to a largely Islamic audience in Istanbul. She also showed her posterior for Italian fans to enjoy.

One of videos in her tour showed an image of the swastika onto a picture of far-right leader Marine Le Pen in Paris. The French partylist plans to take legal action faster than the "ray of light" against Madonna.

In Hyde Park in London on Tuesday, Madonna opened the show with a performance of Girl Gone Wild, before playing MDNA. She pointed a gun on her head in one of her performance and also did a strip tease on stage clutching the crotch of her boy-toy Brahim Zaibat.

There are reports that a lot of Londoners walked out of the concert. Daily Mail mentioned Madonna's concert as London's "worst" gig ever. Fans walked out due to poor sound quality, terrible weather and Madonna's seemingly lacking performances.
