Alexis Sanchez has to learn a third language to get on with his exceptional professional career. His mother tongue is Spanish and had to pick up Italian when he went to Italy to play for Udinese. Now in England he is already making progress and vows to crack the English language soon enough. He talks about life and his professional career in an interview that he gave to the Chilean daily La Tercera.

His performances on the pitch have been exceptional to say the least. Already he is the top scorer in the side with 15 goals to his name of which 10 have been scored in the Barclays Premier League. He is on his way to beating his previous best season with a club. That happened last year with Barcelona when he scored 21 goals in all completions for them. His fitness has also been exceptional and has played more matches than all his colleagues for his club in the league. Add to that the fact that this summer he participated in the World Cup and as a result did not have a proper full preseason training under his belt.

He comes out as a proper team man in the interview when he says that he is not the star in the team rather he is as important as the rest of them. He is happy to be playing in a league which he has great admiration for. He is also all praise for his manager, Arsene Wenger and his illustrious team mates, some of whom have won the recent World Cup with Germany.

He also reflects on his emotionally draining exit at the hands of the hosts in the World Cup and promises to work even harder to improve his game. He says that at the end of every year he focuses on the positives that happened to continue to progress by learning and improving on them.
