“The American Sniper” star Bradley Cooper appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Jan. 5, Monday, which also happened to be his 40th birthday. A part of his appearance on the show uploaded on YouTube has gone viral, having reached more than 1 million views.

Titled “Air Guitar with Bradley Cooper,” the viral video shows Cooper on air guitar recreating Neil Young’s solo performance on “Down By The River.” During the performance, he was wearing a visor/afro combo, which Fallon gave him as a birthday present.

“Of course, people memorise (Young's) guitar because he's amazing,” Cooper said on the show. “But to air guitar it… It's so meaningless!”

Born in Philadelphia, PA., Cooper rose to fame when he starred in television shows “Alias” and “Jack & Bobby.” He received Best Actor nominations from the Academy Awards for the 2013 film “Silver Linings Playbook” and the 2014 film “American Hustle.”

Recently, Cooper played the title role of Chris Kyle in the Clint Eastwood film “The American Sniper,” which also starred Sienna Miller, Kyle Gallner, Cole Konis, Ben Reed, Elise Robertson, Luke Sunshine, Troy Vincent, Brandon Salgado Telis, Keir O’Donnell and Jason Hall, among others.
