When Motorola had sent out invites for its official event scheduled to be held on July 28, it was more or less a hint shared by the company about the likely launch of the third generation Moto G and Moto X. While the latest features of the Moto G had already surfaced prior to the July 28 event, now some clear images of Moto X are showing up before the company’s event.

According to a report on Tech Times, the third generation Moto X is a significant upgrade from its predecessor. The Moto X 2015 is likely to be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 from Qualcomm and is expected to run on 4 GB RAM. The low end variant of Moto X 2015 is likely to get 32 GB of internal storage. However, it still remains unknown if the new smartphone would get a microSD slot for storage expansion.

As far as the rear camera of Moto X 2015 is concerned, Tech Times expects that the phone could get a 21 MP rear shooter, while some other unconfirmed reports suggest that it could get a 16 MP rear camera. At the front, the phone is expected to get an 8 MP camera with LED flash. In terms of display, the new Moto X could possibly get a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution, which is a larger display compared to its predecessor. The 2015 Moto X is expected to run on an Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and could come with a 3,280 mAh battery.

Just before the July 28 event, the specs of 2015 Moto G and 2015 Moto X have surfaced online. This gives us an impression that the company could announce these two phones at its official event. However, it is also expected that the company might announce the next generation Moto 360 smartwatch, as well, reports 9 to 5 Google.
