Manchester United’s midfielder Adnan Januzaj is all set to play for the Bundesliga side after signing a season-long loan with Borussia Dortmund. The 20-year-old began his career with the Belgian football club, Anderlecht before signing with the Red Devils. He was also targeted by the English club, Everton and the Spanish club, Valencia but the deal ultimately went to Dortmund.

Januzaj made his debut with the Red Devils in 2013 against Wigan Athletic where he played as a substitute to Robin van Persie. He still has 3 years left in his deal with Manchester United. He was the first player to score from the side of Manchester United in the Barclays Premier League this season. He netted the only goal that led to the Reds victory against Aston Villa. His performance and career has constantly been on a rise and is fondly remembered by fans for his 2 consecutive goals against Sunderland on the way to a 2-1 victory.

Januzaj’s departure is also closely followed by Javier Hernandez’s transfer to another Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen. This marks a busy day for Manchester United who may soon lose their goalkeeper, David de Gea too as a part of their deal with Real Madrid, as reported by cbssports.

Januzaj who inherited the famous no. 11 jersey following the retirement of Ryan Giggs will be given no. 9 jersey in Borussia Dortmund. He shared his picture with the new jersey on Twitter.

"Adnan is a highly gifted and technically gifted player who completes our attacking department.", Michael Zorc, director of Borussia Dortmund told Dortmund’s website.

"Borussia Dortmund are a great club. The fans here are supposed to be really incredible and I want to achieve great things with the team.", Januzaj told the club’s official site.
