Adele is set to file a lawsuit against a French magazine that published fake photos from her alleged sex tape.

The 23-year-old singer denied reports that she was the one in the photos published by Public magazine. The magazine claimed that the pictures were from the alleged sex tape.

The report was run by the magazine days after the singer scooped six Grammy Awards in Los Angeles last February 12. The report truly shocked the legions of fans of the phenomenal singer.

In response, Adele's lawyer is preparing legal action against the publication, which has three million readers each week. According to Adele's lawyer in a statement published in MailOnline, "We are informed that the French magazine Public has today published images which it claims show our client in a sex tape. Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs. Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory. Our client is taking legal action in relation to this matter."

The fake photos may cause a slight embarrassment to the singer, the issue may put an end to her savoring the incredible year she had so far in terms of her singing career. Moreover, the singer moved to her new mansion close to her new boyfriend, 37-year-old charity boss Simon Konecki.

Adele made a comeback performance in the recently concluded Grammy Awards. After the Awards show, the singer continued to make a buzz after her interview with Vogue magazine when she said she will be taking a break for five years to focus on her personal relationship. However, the singer quickly denied the rumours through her own blog post.
