British sensation Adele broke another chart record and paralleled with Australian songstress Delta Goodrem.

There is no stopping the ten times platinum sophomore album 21. The 23-year-old singer is still on top of the charts for the 29th non-consecutive weeks, which is how long Goodrem's Innocent Eyes in 2003 as well as Neil Diamond's Hot August Night in 1983.

If Adele's phenomenal album will stay on top for another week, it will tie up with Beatle's Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, which stayed on the chart for 30 weeks in August 1967.

The comeback of Whitney Houston's three best-of albums since her untimely death was unable to topple Adele's supremacy in the ARIA top 10 chart. Houston's The Ultimate Collection (2007) shot up from 12th spot to three this week, ahead of her 2011 album The Essential in seventh position - up from number 20 - and The Greatest Hits at 10.

In Australia alone, Adele's 21 has sold 840,000 copies in a time span of 13 months. The album had a further boost after Adele swept major recognition in the recent Grammy and Brit Awards. Adele's DVD Live at the Royal Albert Hall has been No.1 for the 13 weeks it has been released.

Adele is considered one of the phenomenal singers today even with just two albums under her belt, her songs achieved greatest reception and recognition from listeners all over the world. It is indeed a successful year for the 23-year-old singer as she gained another round of awards in the recently concluded Brit Awards.

The singer also won numerous awards in this year's Grammy's. However, it has not been an easy feat for the young singer to make it this far. Adele experienced a lot of hardships before she gained her much deserved recognition.

There has been no concrete plan as to when Adele will visit the land down under. However, locals promoters are waging war as to which will be capable to bring the British songstress in Australia.
