A 27-year-old man has been arrested in NSW’s Bermagui area after finding a woman's body in the boot of his car. The police are now investigating whether it’s the body of Canberra woman Daniella D'Addario, 35, who reportedly went missing since April 20.

According to ACT police, her partner, Josaia Vosikata has been missing from the same time. When NSW Police stopped a blue Hyundai Getz at Cuttagee Point late in the evening on Wednesday, the driver ran away to the surrounding bushland, making the police more suspicious of him. Police then discovered a woman's dead body in the car.

"A foot chase ensued, however due to the weather, the darkness and the terrain the male person eluded police," Detective Superintendent Peter O'Brien said.

But thankfully, after 20-hour of rigorous search in the bushland around Bermagui area, police have arrested the suspected killer, Vosikata. He had appeared in a Bateman's Bay court on Friday morning. The police is yet to disclose the reason behind her death and how Vosikata had committed the crime.

Meanwhile, the arrest was made possible after a video footage taken by a Channel 7 cameraperson. Peter Wilkinson spotted Vosikata on Thursday afternoon and informed police. In the footage, Vosikata was shown in squatting position with a set of car number plates. Later, police handcuffed him and taken him into custody.

The ACT Magistrates Court had not applied for Vosikata bail as yet and the case has been adjourned until May 8.

The ACT police said, anyone with more information regarding this case must contact the Crime Stoppers’ department on 1800 333 000.
