Apple’s strategy to address high demand for Apple Watch

According to a report on Business Insider, Apple has not revealed any details regarding the sales of Apple Watches in its Q2 earnings report but the company is working towards increasing supply of Apple Watch, to meet its rising demand by the end of the quarter. Based on previous reports, Business Insider reported, Apple aims to sell about 20 million units of Apple Watch in the first year.

As per average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Bloomberg, Apple Watch sales numbers may reach over 14 million units in the fiscal year ending in September, reported The Sydney Morning Herald. Apple’s Retail Chief, Angela Ahrendts explained that due to limited stock and high demand of the smart watch, the company will not be able to make the Apple Watch available in its stores at the initial stages but the watch can be purchased online, as per the Sydney Morning Herald report.

Apple had allowed its customers to demonstrate the Apple Watch in its Apple Store, since April 10, the day when the company started accepting online pre-orders, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
