Vitamin C is a very essential nutrient that serves many functions such as boosting the immune system, keeping the brain healthy, and protecting the body from free radicals among others. Below you’ll find some of the excellent sources of vitamin C which you can add to your diet.

Known for its anti-cancer properties, this veggie is very rich in vitamin C and fibre. It’s very nutritious and yet it contains few calories, making it a must-eat veggie for dieters. Add it to your salad or your favourite dishes.

You’re sure to love strawberries not only because of their rich vitamin C content but also for their being a great source of other nutrients essential for better heart health. They’re also loaded with folate and are believed to help whiten your teeth naturally.

  1. Brussels sprouts

Not everybody is a big fan of these bitter little cabbages but mind you, it contains nutrients like vitamin C and fibre. To add, it also has phytonutrients that help fight against cancer. Try roasting them to get rid of their bitter taste.

  1. Guavas

These succulent fruits are a good source of vitamin C too. They are fleshy and juicy. If the seeds bother you, slice the guava into several pieces and get rid of the seeds.
