People usually have a hard time determining whether it is time to quit their job and move on to a better company that will bring out their inner fire. It is best to watch out for the usual signs to save yourself from financial loss as well as take advantage of opportunities before it is too late.

1. You lack passion

In a report by Forbes.com, if you are losing interest in what you do and no longer feel as excited about going to work, it might be time to leave your job. You will fail to tap your potential if you stay in a place where you simply "work" instead of getting creative and making the most out of your time and talents.

2. The business is losing

You might sympathize with the company but you should not allow yourself to miss out opportunities or lose financial stability. Every company has a lifespan and it is normal for people to move from one business to another when the losses outweigh the benefits.

3. Your health starts to suffer

If you are getting sick all the time or developing abnormal symptoms related to stress, lack of sleep, poor nutrition or work-induced vices like smoking, it is best to move to another job. Do not tire yourself out working every time. Look for a job that gives you balance and allows you to spend time on other things and people outside the office.

4. Failing to fit in

There are certain jobs that are just not for you. In a report by Businessnewsdaily.com, some people get the feeling that they do not get along with their boss or colleagues as easily as others in the workplace. You might get into arguments with different people or fail to meet objectives every time. Perhaps the position or environment is not working for your personality so it will better to move on.

5. Illegal activities

If you are a victim of sexual harassment or verbal abuse, report the incident to your superiors or the authorities. If you also discover that the company you are in is involved in any kind of illegal activity, get out before you jeopardize your career.
