5 Seconds Of Summer guitarist Michael Clifford was injured after being burned by pyrotechnic effects while performing on stage in London, Saturday night. The Australian band thanked their fans for all the support.

The band continued performing their third show on Sunday night at London’s Wembley Arena. There’s no pyrotechnic that injured the 19-year-old guitarist on that day.

According to the band’s spokeswoman Erin Cooney, Clifford is recovering. "Michael and the band would like to thank all the fans, well-wishers and particularly last night's audience for their support. There will be no pyrotechnic production for the show this evening," Cooney said.

The injured guitarist was still able to join the band’s Sunday performance. On the official Facebook page of the band, he said he was so excited for Sunday’s show.

Clifford shared a photo of himself on Intagram with half of his face wrapped in bandages. The image was captioned,” Hello world. im doing ok :) thanks for worrying!” After Clifford update his recovery, their fans cheered.

The accident happened during the Aussie band’s second night at the Webley Arena for their “Rock Out With Your Socks Out” world tour. On a video shared on Twitter, Clifford was skimming a shooting flame as he played.

Clifford jumped as smoke started to spread on his head, rushing to grab a towel before he finally left the stage. Ashton Irwin announced that they would not pursue the show because of the mishap.

"Michael has hurt himself so we will not be continuing the show right now," Irwin said. "He is OK," he added. Clifford’s injuries became a hot topic on Twitter last Saturday night as the band’s fans wished a fast recovery for Clifford.

On May, the Australian band was featured on Rolling Stone. During the interview of the renowned magazine, the discussion started with their tour with One Direction. The Aussie boys gave positive feedback on Irish band, adding they enjoyed working with them.

On June 18, the band will be having a concert in Auckland, New Zealand. Then from June 20, most of their schedules are set in Australia. The following dates of concert tour are the following:

  • Jun 23 Brisbane
  • Jun 25 Melbourne
  • Jun 27 Adelaide
  • Jun 29 Perth
