Recent posturing by Russia particularly its president, Vladimir Putin, appears to suggest that the nation is ready to engage in a full-scale conflict with the United States in the event World War 3, likely involving nuclear weapons, breaks out.

In a new commentary, Michael Snyder of The Right Side News debunked the presumption that due to "mutually assured destruction," doctrine Russia is averse even to the notion of a nuclear showdown with the country considered for now as the lone superpower - the United States.

On the contrary, Moscow is ready for any eventuality - a shooting war including, Snyder wrote. It could be that Russia will do its best to prevent its current tense relationship with the U.S to escalate into a deadly conflict but the country is not backing down as well.

There are in fact glaring signs that suggest Kremlin is more than ready for war anytime and should one is triggered, the chance is quite high that the Russians will emerge as the winner.

Five of these proofs are provided below:

Russia will spend $540 billion to further upgrade military might

According to Snyder, Moscow is poised to bankroll the most expensive weapons modernization program in modern history. From 2016 through 2025, Russia's defense spending could reach a high of $540 billion.

The aim is to increase the country's multi-pronged capabilities in conventional and modern warfare, including the ability to conduct cyber and nuclear attacks.

Radar-beating missile delivery system

Part of Russia's huge defense budget will be earmarked to acquire missile delivery system that will evade detection. Per Snyder, more than half of Russia's nuclear missiles could be launched and hit its targets undetected by 2016.

Surprise and mobile deployment capability

To ensure that it will win a nuclear slugfest with America, Russia will rely on the element of surprise and mobility to carry out pre-mapped strikes. On air, there will be a next-generation bomber that is nearly invisible to radar. On sea, there will be super-silent submarines that Snyder said have been confirmed by the U.S. Navy, even calling them as 'black holes'.

It is estimated that Russia's silent and mobile killers will be fully operational by 2025.

Satellite killer

The modern war philosophy will surely involve cyber warfare and this early, Moscow is making sure that it is many steps ahead of its nemesis. The most solid testament to this is the Object 2014-28E that according to The Financial Times was launched into orbit May this year.

Russia is silent on the exact mission designs for Object 2014-28E but experts are offering a scary theory - that the space tool is intended to neutralize enemy satellites when needed. In doing so, Russia will make its enemy blind - an advantage that will make it easier for Russia to win a war.

Regular patrols

Perhaps, the strongest sign that hostilities among the nuclear powers could be instigated anytime is the reported patrols conducted by Russian aircrafts covering north of Europe and the coasts of Alaska.

Such alarming incursions, according to Snyder, could be part of Kremlin's way to test the NATO-established defense system in the pre-plotted attack regions.
