Apart from the awards, the dresses of the female stars are also one of the highlights of the events.

Inside the BAFTAs awards ceremony at the Royal Albert Hall in London, it may be all about who won what, but outside on the red carpet, it is about one thing only - the dresses.

Of course, with some of the most glamorous names of the big screen in attendance at Sunday's event, there were those who dazzled. But there are also some celebrities who failed to impress the crowd.

One of the head turners at the said event is high profile and award-winning actress Helen Mirren. The prime actress let go of her signature blonde hair and rocked a pink bob. Just when we thought that only singer Pink and Kelly Osbourne can only go with pink hair, Helen Mirren proved us wrong.

Another head turner at this year's BAFTA is young actress Jennifer Lawrence in her simple white gown adorned with sequence. She completed her look with her long hair swept back.

Three of the most important winners of the night are Skyfall, Les Miserables and Argo. Skyfall has beaten the bookies' favourite Les Miserables to win the outstanding British film award at the Baftas. This is the first recognition for James Bond in 50 years.

Ben Affleck must be on top of the world right now as his film Argo has won best film and best director. While Les Miserables took home best supporting actress, best production design, best sound, and hair and make-up awards.
