After taking a tour to China, India and South Korea, the Samsung Galaxy J5 has finally landed in Europe under mobile operator Orange in Germany. Last June, both the mid-range Galaxy J5 and J7 was released in China followed by India. Samsung also released Galaxy J5 with a 13-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of f1.9 in their home country South Korea.

Samsung Germany listed the phone as SM-J500FN on its official website at €234.99 ($AUD 354). The Samsung Galaxy J5 sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen with 720 x 1280 at 294 pixels per inch resolutions. The device will be powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 410 SoC which includes a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU and the Adreno 306 GPU, reports Phone Arena .

The handset also touts a 13MP camera on its back with an aperture of f/1.9, allowing users to take good quality pictures even in low lighting conditions. There will also be a 5MP front shooter for selfies and video chats with LED flash. Galaxy J5 houses a 1.5GB of RAM along with 16GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, dual-SIM support and a 2600mAh battery. The storage space can be expanded up to 128GB via the microSD card slot. The Samsung Galaxy J5 features a built-in FM radio as well. The device supports 4G LTE connectivity and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

Unlike premium phones that use metal or glass back material, the Galaxy J5 uses plastic. The phone will be available in black, white and gold color options. Galaxy J7 is expected to be launched in South Korea sometime soon. In India, Galaxy J5 was launched with a free in-app purchase credit worth $50 for use on Gameloft with double data on Airtel 4G for six months.
