“Dying Light” is deemed by gamers as one of the most challenging games they have played. There are so many ways to get killed, so you have to know the basics of survival and improve your character by finding the safest places and loading up on weapons and supplies. Here are five tips to keep in mind when playing “Dying Light” to last longer.

1. Avoid the night. The most difficult time to stay alive in the game is at night. Powerful zombies called Volatiles come out in the dark. Use your minimap to know their location and stay away as much as you can. Since your visibility is limited at night, it is ideal that you find a place to stay secure and sleep until sunlight returns.

2. Hit the head. Headshots will kill zombies much faster. If you are using a slashing weapon, hit their necks instead, which will save you time and help you eliminate more enemies.

3. Save ammo. You will realize that ammunition tends to get low in number fast, especially if you miss a lot. Save your bullets for more dangerous enemies. Aim for Gas Tanks to kill off groups of zombies. Also hit gunners to avoid them from firing back.

4. Secure your kill. When Infected fall, they are not necessarily dead. There are some enemies that can grab you from the ground and bite. Check for movement while zombies are on the ground and double-tap them to make sure they are no longer a threat to you.

5. Gather items. There are several crafting materials that allow you to create unique weapons and other useful items. Loot as much as you can so you have the raw elements to make great items later on. When you see a plane in the sky, go after it and search for crates that are dropped downtown. You will find great items in the packages.

Take advantage of location and do not engage enemies all the time, even during daytime. It is better to improve your weapon arsenal as well as take on Side Quests to maintain your XP.
