Google has unveiled its Motorola-made Nexus 6 and even before its scheduled release date on early November, the Android Lollipop-powered device seems compelling enough to include on shoppers Christmas list.

The specs published so far are overwhelming as Google decided to make its 2014 flagship a huge phablet with a 5.9-inch screen profile or just one-inch shy of the 7-inch Nexus 7. The front panel is fired up by an AMOLED panel technology that enables the handset to emit a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440.

Under the hood, the Nexus 6 is a monster car as its engine is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 chip in quad-core configuration and spins at top speed of 2.7GHz. Such might will be accompanied by snap and speed thanks to the super-generous RAM provision of 3GB.

It is expected too that the Android 5.0-driven device will function as a preferred camera tool for most users as Motorola stuffed the kit with a 13MP main shooter that is laced with optical image stabilisation, the latter making sure that even the average users can produce top-notch camera shots.

And the built-in storage is capacious enough, starting at 32GB while a 64GB variant will be available too.

The Nexus 6, however, also packs four unpublished but definite killer specs and features, provided below, that should convince Android fans to buy the exciting Google kit the moment it becomes available:

A massive 3220mAh battery

This spec did not hog the limelight when Google had uncloaked the Nexus 6 but a closer look on the provided details would reveal that the phone can count on a powerful battery that dwarfs over the competition.

Wireless charging

Charging up without the cord was introduced as early as the LG-assembled Nexus 4 and returned with the Nexus 5. This convenient feature that supports Qi wireless charging standard, according to BGR, is packed with the upcoming Nexus smartphone and already confirmed by Motorola.

Water resistant

Motorola also stated that the Nexus 6 is water resistant but offered no specifics on the feature. It safe to assume though that the device's liquid protection capability is limited but enough to withstand accidental spills and momentary water dunks.

Wi-Fi calling

Like the iPhone 6, Google's new hero phone will also offer Wi-Fi calling via the T-Mobile network. The service, however, will not go live until 2015. The Nexus 6, BGR said, will require a specific firmware update before users can start making Wi-Fi calls.

Preorder for the Nexus 6 begins this late October while the actual release date will commence in the initial days of November with Google reportedly eyeing to globally distribute the device at the soonest possible time.
