With all the new videogames coming out recently, there are also a number of new companion apps released by their respective developers. These are meant to either complement the main game or to become a new hub where you can conduct activities to extend your gameplay beyond the console.

Here are some of the must-have apps for some of the more recent games. Prepare to get your own hub for "Forza" fans, a TCG game for "Pokemon" lovers in Canada and the "FIFA 15 Ultimate Team" app for the hottest game this week.

FIFA 15 Ultimate Team

Despite some issues plaguing "FIFA 15" and its companion app, EA's free complementary app to its recently released game is still worth getting. The "FIFA 15 Ultimate Team" app is mostly all about creating a team that is based on the players of the game, purchasing packs of player cards and manage your team when you're not playing "FIFA 15."

The only catch is that you will need an Origin account to use the app, and Phones Review adds that you also need the FIFA Ultimate Team Club in the base game to utilize the FIFA UT features.

Touch Arcade adds that another feature that gamers can look forward to in the "FIFA 15 Ultimate Team" app is the MFi gamepad support. There are also new control options that are based on touchscreen, with arrows that help those who are new to using the app.

Forza Hub for "Forza Horizon 2"

The newly released "Forza Horizon 2," which is an Xbox exclusive driving game, will have its own companion app in the form of the Forza Hub. Admittedly, this is an app for your Xbox One console and not your mobile-extension app.

This was spotted by Videogamer, in a recent post over at the Xbox One Reddit, where a fan has posted a screenshot of the app. According to the source, the Forza Hub is a venue where you can track the progress that you make in the game and even beyond into the "Forza" series.

It also lets you in on the latest happenings with your friends' progress and statistics as well as allows you to join in-game events even when you're still in the app. In the Reddit screenshot, it was also listed that visiting Forza Hub will let you get free credits or cars each month.

Pokemon TCG Online

First released in Canada, the Pokemon TCG Online app has now been confirmed to be heading to the USA iTunes. According to Pokemon news source Serebii, the app will allow gamers to play trading cards that have been bought hard copies of booster packs and theme decks.

As it is an online app, you can play with other people who have their own trading cards, but if you prefer single-player, it also has a campaign for those who prefer playing the game alone. The Pokemon TCG Online app will be available for free, and the source states that the iPad version of the app will follow the one seen in the PC.

Currently, the Pokemon TCG Online is already available in Australia, New Zealand and The U.K., though other markets including Asia, Europe and South America are still looking at unannounced release dates. Best to prepare your iPads for the 504MB worth of download.
